Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At a meeting held with the participation of the official delegation of the city of Dushanbe led by the chairman of the city, Rustam Emomali, in the khokimiyat of Tashkent, the parties discussed further bilateral cooperation, the press service of the capital’s khokimiyat reports.
The khokim of Tashkent, Jahongir Artykhodjaev, noting the centuries-old friendship and neighborly relations of the Uzbek and Tajik people, underlined the similar culture, customs and traditions, a single religion that tightly connects the population of the two countries, said he was ready for the comprehensive development of bilateral relations between Tashkent and Dushanbe.
Rustam Emomali expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere and said that they are very interested in the changes and updates in Tashkent, that the Tajik side intends to get acquainted with the experience of our capital in the field of construction. In addition, he mentioned that next year it is planned to organize the days of Tashkent in Dushanbe and hold a youth forum within them.
Also during the meeting, an agreement was signed aimed at implementing an action plan in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres between the city of Tashkent and the executive committee of the city of Dushanbe of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2020-2021.
