Regulations Approved for Referring Women to the “Mother’s Home” Resource Center
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Two key regulations have been approved, establishing the procedures for referring women in need of social protection and providing them with social services between the National Social Protection Agency and the “Mother’s Home” resource center.
Under the new rules, women facing difficult life circumstances are referred to the center: those without housing, with limited financial means, not receiving support from family or spouse, intending to relinquish childcare, or subjected to violence from a spouse or close relatives. The primary goal is to prevent social orphanhood.
The resource center accepts women aged 16 to 40 who are in the final trimester of pregnancy, as well as women with children up to six years old, for a period of up to nine months under a contract.
Women and their minor children admitted to the center receive a full range of social services free of charge, providing support during a difficult period of life and promoting social adaptation.
