Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Tashkent city khokimiyat’s department on architecture, capital construction and communications development took part in the work of the regional Central Asian online forum "Strengthen the Right to Housing" on 20 August.

The organizers of the forum are the Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for Central Asia, the US Agency for Regional Development, the NGO Civil Society Development Association (Kazakhstan), the Open Society (USA), MC Interbilim and the Right to Sufficient dwelling” (Kyrgyzstan).

The purpose of the forum is to discuss issues of cooperation between government agencies, civil society and human rights institutions in the field of seizure (purchase) of housing. The objective of the forum is to collect proposals on effective mechanisms for the implementation of human rights to adequate housing in the course of the seizure (purchase) of housing in the CA countries.

The forum was attended by 120 people from all countries of our region.
