Regional Electric Networks comments reason for the blackout in Yangiyul district

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Residents of the city of Yangiyul and the surrounding areas were informed about cutting off of gas for several days.

Residents of more than 200 multi-storey houses and housing plots located in these territories, for cooking and boiling water, during this period consumed large amounts of electric energy. In this connection, the electric equipment of the Yangiyul District Electricity Supply Enterprise worked with overload.

On 12 September 2019 at 02:00, an emergency occurred at PS-110/35/6 Yangiyul, with the failure of electrical equipment.

To eliminate the damage that occurred and to ensure the safe conduct of repair work, in accordance with safety requirements, several parts of the PS electrical equipment were de-energized.

The power supply to consumers of the substation was connected according to a temporary scheme at 7:40 p.m. on 12 September  2019.

To date, the consequences of the accident are being eliminated and repairs of electrical equipment are ongoing, as a result of which, during two days, electricity will be partially limited in the mahallas of the city of Yangiyul and the surrounding areas.
