Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia and the leadership of the University of Management and Entrepreneurship “Binary” during a video conference discussed the establishment of a branch of this university in the city of Urgench, Dunyo reported.

Binary University is one of the specialized universities in Malaysia for training in the fields of management, information technology and entrepreneurship education. The university presents a program of practical entrepreneurship in the field of construction industry, tourism, ICT, financial and banking services.

During the event, information was provided on measures to ensure continuity of training in Uzbekistan during the coronavirus period. It was noted that all educational institutions were transferred to distance learning, and free educational Internet resources, television and online channels were created where video lessons and general education programs are broadcast.

In turn, the rector of Binary, Joseph Adaykalam, said that Uzbekistan is an “educational hub” and the opening of a branch of the university in Urgench remains one of the priority tasks.

The parties discussed the trilateral agreement planned for signing between the Malaysian university, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and the Khorezm region khokimiyat, including the whole range of issues necessary for opening a full-fledged Binary University in Uzbekistan.

The parties agreed to sign the document as soon as possible.
