Reconstructed bridge opened in Tashkent

A project for construction and reconstruction of overpass at intersection of Small Ring Road and Fargona Yuli Street in Tashkent was completed. On Thursday, the movement of vehicles over the bridge was opened.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari Achilbay Ramatov took part in the opening ceremony of the overpass.
The project was implemented by Uzbekistan Temir Yollari.
The construction of the overpass through the Small Ring Road was conducted all summer. The decision on the construction of the dismantled segment in 2008 was approved by the President this spring, as reported, according to the numerous requests of citizens.
The existing bridge width of 30 meters and a length of 346 meters was reconstructed and new part with a width of 22 and a length of 281 meters was constructed.
Pedestrian paths are laid along the sides of the bridge. Implementation of this project will not only create greater convenience for drivers and pedestrians, but will also improve the safety of traffic on the bridge.
