Realtor services for 8.1bn soums rendered in Tashkent in 2013
This figures were announced at the session of the Cabinet of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis on budget and economic reforms, dedicated to results of the study on execution of the law “On realtor activities” in Tashkent city.
According to the press service of the lower house of parliament, representatives of ministries and departments, state bodies, MPs and others participated in the session.
The law “On realtor activities” came into force in Uzbekistan on 23 June 2011. It introduces legislative base for realtor activities in the country. The realtor activities were determined as independent sector of economy.
The law formed main notions and requirements to realtor services to develop the sector in line with advanced international experience. The real estate market participants for the first time received protection of unfair participants of the market.
The law helped to develop the real estate market in Uzbekistan and improved legal-normative base of the sector. Uzbekistan adopted by-laws, which regulate certification of realtors and other directions.
The law set that legal entities and individual businesses should receive licenses to carry out realtor activities in Uzbekistan, while individuals should obtain certificates.
As of 1 April 2014, some 1,122 individuals received qualification certificates, while 158 legal entities and 10 individual enterprises also received permissions to work in Uzbekistan.
In line with the presidential decision from 27 June 2013, the issuing licenses and certificates for realtor activities are conducted via Single portal of interactive services.
The documents, required to receiving licenses and certificates for realtor activities, are published at the website www.gkilicenz.uz. The website also has information on schedule of exams and their results.
The study showed that main part of realtor organizations provide intermediary services at signing of deals with real estate and information-consulting services. Major part of realtor organizations work in Tashkent and Samarkand cities. Creation of realtor organizations is slow in Jizzakh, Surkhandarya and Syrdarya regions.
The session discussed current state and perspectives of realtor service market and implementation of the legislation in the market, etc.
The committee adopted a corresponding decision on the considered issues.
