Ravshan Irmatov Discusses Football Development in Uzbekistan with Canadian Ambassador
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 November, First Vice President of the Uzbekistan Football Federation, Ravshan Irmatov, met with a delegation led by Christopher Duggan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the Canadian side congratulated the Uzbekistan national team on qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The parties discussed organizing friendly matches between the youth national teams of Uzbekistan and Canada, as well as developing mechanisms for experience exchange between football specialists from both countries. Visa-related issues were also addressed.
The guests were introduced to the recently opened National Football Center, noting its high level of equipment and modern facilities for athlete training.
