Ravshan Irmatov Denies Rumors About Fabio Cannavaro’s €4 Million Salary

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ravshan Irmatov, First Vice President of the Uzbekistan Football Association, has denied social media claims that the new head coach of the national team, Fabio Cannavaro, will earn around €4 million per year.

Irmatov called the figure “significantly exaggerated.” “Cannavaro’s salary is not €4 million — not even half that amount. However, by mutual agreement, we have decided not to disclose the exact terms of the contract,” he said while speaking to reporters.

He also clarified that the Italian coach signed a ‘2+3 years’ contract structure and expressed gratitude to Srečko Katanec, Timur Kapadze, and other coaches who contributed to Uzbekistan’s qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

As a reminder, 2006 World Cup champion Fabio Cannavaro was officially appointed as head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team.
