Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzvagontamir enterprise signed an export contract for 2020 for a total amount of US$372,200 with colleagues from the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2020, the Foundry and Mechanical Plant signed contracts with foreign companies in Russia and Kazakhstan in the amount of more than US$5.4 million.

Currently, the Foundry and Mechanical Plant has mastered the construction of covered wagons, gondola cars, and hopper wagons for the transportation of cement and mineral fertilizers. At the same time, the construction of long-base platforms for the transportation of large containers has already been mastered. Repair work is in particular demand on the production market in this area, and it should be noted that almost all types of wagons existing in the CIS countries are repaired at this enterprise.

The activities of Andijan Mechanical Plant are developing at an accelerated pace. Here, in 2018, an export contract was signed with a Kazakhstani company for the overhaul of wagon tanks (in the amount of US$559,250) and is currently continuing successful cooperation in this direction. It is expected that in the visible future an export agreement worth US$1,044,320 will also be signed with another company in neighboring Kazakhstan. Final arrangements are being made in this direction. Mutually beneficial cooperation can be seen in the example of negotiations on the export of new gondola cars between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. Meetings and discussions on the overhaul of freight cars are also held with the Ministry of Railways of Turkmenistan.

In order to develop export services in 2020, Yo’lRefTrans Joint Stock Company signed an agreement with the Republic of Kazakhstan for the repair of 400 freight cars. The signing of export contracts between Russian companies and Yo’lRefTrans is also expected. Recall that Yo’lRefTrans is the only company in Central Asia that is known for its refrigerated (refrigerated) wagons, which are very popular in the transportation of perishable and fruit and vegetable products.
