Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation from Qatari company MBK Holding.

The visiting delegation included CEO Avinash Deshpande, Director of Strategic Development Yazen Koush, and Department Head Jassim Al-Ejji.

During the visit, the Qatari representatives were introduced to Uzbekistan’s digital infrastructure, including the operations of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park, and the national digital integrator UZINFOCOM. The guests took particular interest in innovative solutions such as the MYID Vision and MYID Palm biometric identification systems, as well as the digital government technologies currently in use.

Discussions focused on potential areas of partnership, including the development of digital education, support for the startup ecosystem, applications of artificial intelligence, and training and upskilling of IT specialists.

The Qatari side expressed strong interest in investing in Uzbekistan’s digital ecosystem and startups, integrating national digital solutions into the country’s infrastructure, and recruiting skilled Uzbek professionals for employment in tech companies across Qatar.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to jointly develop a roadmap for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.

MBK Holding, a family-owned company founded in 1969 in Doha, specializes in supporting digital and high-tech solutions and fostering startup development. One of its core priorities is to promote youth entrepreneurship and drive forward innovative initiatives.
