Qatar Plans to Recruit Uzbek Medical and IT Specialists

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The government of Qatar plans to recruit medical specialists from Uzbekistan, the press service of the Qatari Migration Agency reported.

Agency head Behzod Musaev held talks with Abdulhadi Bakhit Barkan, director of the Qatari recruitment company Jusour, on the implementation of a previously signed partnership agreement.

The parties discussed measures to simplify the process of attracting qualified personnel, noting Qatar’s high demand for professionals in healthcare, IT, telecommunications, and construction.

Barkan emphasized that Uzbek surgeons will be eligible for “golden visas,” while favorable employment conditions are being established for junior medical staff, including nurses.

The discussion also covered the integration of the Uzbek platform Xorijda Ish with Qatar’s Tawzeef service, as well as the preparation of Uzbek specialists for work abroad.

Earlier, in January 2024, the Qatari company Elegancia Healthcare announced plans to initially recruit 50 doctors and nurses from Uzbekistan, with an additional 20 specialists to be hired in a subsequent phase.
