Qatar and Uzbekistan Discuss Free Zone Investments

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Faisal Al-Thani, CEO of the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), held a meeting with Dr. Ashraf Khojayev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Qatar. This was reported by the QNA news agency.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in attracting investment between the two countries. Particular attention was paid to the opportunities provided by Qatar's free economic zones for Uzbek companies to enter the local market and establish businesses.

It was noted that these zones offer a range of advantages, including favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity and access to state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Representatives from the Qatar Free Zones Authority also participated in the meeting. Following the discussions, a study tour was organized for the Uzbek delegation to the Business and Innovation Park located within the Ras Bufontas Free Zone.

The discussion on investment collaboration reflects the mutual desire of both parties to further deepen economic ties and expand practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar.
