Public transport passengers now can purchase 30 tokens

The company said that the passengers can purchase 50 tokens for buses and trams at once compared to earlier 30.

The limit was introduced as the number of tokens were limited, the company underlined.

Passengers purchase tokens in large number, but they do not use them immediately. This makes it difficult to turnover of tokens, Toshshahartranshizmat said.

Toshshahartranskhizmat introduced mixed payment system for ground public passenger transport (buses and trams) with use of tokens from 1 March 2013.

The decision was adopted to improve payment of public transportation services with use of banking payment cards, expand services to population, etc.

The company said that tokens can be purchased only with use of banking payment cards at points, which realize monthly travel cards.

Toshshahartranskhizmat said that tokens are not accepted at underground, route buses and taxis.
