Public Transport Fleet in Termez Upgraded

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Surkhandarya region continues implementing the President’s instructions to develop a modern and comfortable public transport system in regional centers. As part of these efforts, the city of Termez has received a batch of 35 new buses manufactured in China.

The modern ZHONGTONG BUS vehicles, equipped with the latest technology and meeting environmental standards, were delivered to the region with the support of the Surkhandarya Regional Transport Department and LLC “Termiztransportxizmat.”

A formal handover ceremony took place at the newly opened Manguzar bus terminal. The event was attended by Ulugbek Kasimov, Khokim of Surkhandarya region, representatives of ZHONGTONG BUS, transport sector specialists, community activists, and local elders.

Representatives of the manufacturer highlighted that the buses are energy-efficient, comfortable for passengers, and meet high safety standards.

Regional authorities emphasized that the renewal of the transport fleet is aimed at improving the quality of public service, developing urban mobility, and ensuring comfortable travel for residents.

The new buses will operate on intra-city routes under a gross contract model, ensuring transparent payments, stable operations, and increased efficiency across the entire public transport system.
