Prospects for cooperation in the modernization of airports in Uzbekistan discussed in Brussels

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 July 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries Dilyor Khakimov met with the Director General of the ADB Safegate Christian Onselaer.

ADB Safegate has a history of more than 100 years and is a global leader in providing solutions, which provide enhanced security and efficiency to 2,500 airports in 175 countries around the world.

During the meeting, the management of ADB Safegate presented the main areas of cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Foreign partners highly appreciated the radical changes taking place in the field of aviation communication of our country. As it was emphasized, for 24-years experience in Uzbekistan, the company participated in the re-equipment of 8 airports. Among the flagship projects are air harbors of the cities of Samarkand, Termez, Urgench and others.

In the course of substantive discussions, the parties considered specific plans to further expand the presence of ADB Safegate and participate in projects designated by the leadership of Uzbekistan in the aviation industry, first of all, in solving such tasks as equipping modern light-signaling equipment, automated parking systems for aircraft, using modern digital technologies for the most efficient and safe use of airports.

In the near future, the company plans to participate in reconstruction of Nukus International Airport, as well as localization of part of the production in Uzbekistan.
