Prosecutor General to Gain Full Access to All Government Information Systems

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan will be granted unhindered access to all information systems of state bodies.

All executive authorities, local governments, and state-owned enterprises, including companies with more than 50 percent state ownership, are implementing a “digital control” function. This system enables real-time monitoring of their information systems. The measure aims to prevent corruption, identify factors that contribute to corrupt practices, and ensure their effective elimination.

State organizations are required to implement this function using extrabudgetary funds by 1 October of the following year and present it to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

By 1 December 2026, the information systems and resources of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Poverty Reduction, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation must be directly integrated with the Prosecutor General’s Office systems. By 1 November 2030, this integration will extend to the systems of other state bodies and organizations.

In addition, legislation will be amended to grant the Prosecutor General the right to unhindered access to government information infrastructure, information systems, databases, and repositories. This includes the authority to view, monitor, and analyze electronic data, documents, and materials, as well as to obtain electronic documents and information.
