Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 2 March 2020, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov and director of the Republican Higher School of Business and Management named after Abu Rayhan Beruni Rustam Abduraupov in Kuala Lumpur met with the president of Putra Business School - PBS) Zulkornaynom Yusup.
PBS was founded in 1997 at the University of Putra Malaysia (Universiti Putra Malaysia) and is one of the best business schools in the country and the region as a whole.
During the meeting, the Malaysian side was provided with detailed information on the activities of the Republican Higher School of Business and Management named after Abu Rayhan Beruni, and the prospects for interaction between the two educational institutions were discussed.
It was emphasized that one of the main areas of cooperation with foreign educational institutions arising from the goals of the “Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy” is the training of qualified specialists in the digital economy.
The parties reached an agreement on the development of cooperation in the following areas:
- introduction of a joint educational program at the Republican Higher School of Business and Management with the subsequent provision of double diplomas;
- Organization of short-term tailor-made courses and internships for executives and managers of Uzbek companies with a focus on the introduction of a digital economy;
- Conducting joint conferences, seminars and other scientific and educational events in Uzbekistan and Malaysia, as well as the implementation of scientific and applied research;
- Organization of mutual study tours for students on a parity basis.
Following the talks, a corresponding document was signed on establishing partnerships between the Republican Higher School of Business and Management named after Abu Rayhan Beruni and Putra Business School and the implementation of the agreements reached.
