Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The decree of the Head of State on measures to further strengthen the development of the production of prosthetic and orthopedic products and rehabilitation equipment, as well as the material and technical basis of medical and social institutions.

The decree outlines specific tasks for improving the quality of domestic prosthetic and orthopedic products and rehabilitation equipment and expanding their types, creating a strong scientific and methodological base, deepening scientific research in the field of medical and social assistance, training and retraining of personnel, the wide implementation of international production standards prosthetic and orthopedic products and rehabilitation equipment.

The document also identifies measures to study the issues of expanding species and improving the quality of domestic prosthetic and orthopedic products and rehabilitative technical equipment, to ensure the implementation of industry projects in free economic zones and small industrial zones. Finally, to implement complex measures will involve leading foreign enterprises for the production of prosthetic and orthopedic products and rehabilitation equipment, foreign investment, grants, loans and earmarked funds international financial institutions, foreign government funds and organizations.

According to UzLiDeP, this decree will serve to radically improve the quality of medicine based on the principles of public-private partnership, meet the need for private medicine in quality medical services, introduce more effective and modern technologies and innovations in the healthcare sector, create an atmosphere of healthy competition in the provision of qualified medical assistance.
