Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbek Embassy in Italy organized video conferencing negotiations with the leadership of the Italian company Italcarni Holding Group, the khokimiyat of Namangan region, the State Veterinary Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekchorvanasl Agency, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Investments and foreign trade and the Center for the development of investment projects, Dunyo reported/
Participants of the online meeting discussed issues related to the implementation of the project for meat processing and meat production in the Namangan region.
The Italian side was informed in detail about the development of livestock in Uzbekistan, organized in the republic farms for breeding livestock. A growing demand for meat and meat products in the domestic market was noted.
The great attention paid by the country's leadership to the development of a system for organizing the activities of farms, as well as ensuring the quality of meat processing and production of meat products, was emphasized.
The CEO of Italcarni Holding Group, Antonio Bova, briefly briefed on the activities of the company and its products.
The parties exchanged views on the start of developing a joint project for the production and processing of meat in the Namangan region. The main criteria necessary for the successful implementation of this project, both at the regional and republican levels, were discussed.
For his part, the deputy hokim of the Namangan region, Okibjon Inamov, expressed his readiness to provide the necessary assistance in resolving organizational issues, including determining the location for the construction of a livestock farm, as well as the sale of meat products on the markets.
Following the talks, the Italian side supported the proposal on the expediency of the early development of the project, taking into account the experience of previous projects of Italcarni Holding Group, as well as the conditions in Uzbekistan.
It was also agreed to organize a visit of Italcarni Holding Group specialists to Uzbekistan to familiarize themselves with the local market and develop a business plan for the implementation of the project.
