Programme on modernization of external lightening adopted in Uzbekistan

The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a programme on modernization of external lightening in Tashkent city, regional centers and cities on the base of LED-technologies in 2016-2019.
The programme was approved by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 4 March 2016.
Departments on accomplishment of Nukus, regional centers and cities will be customer for the projects on installation modern lightening in cities and regions, while Uzavtoyul will be customer for installation of modern lightening in roads of general use.
The resolution said that equipment for the projects on modernization of lightening systems of cities, regions and roads will be selected among local producers without organization of the tenders.
The programme will be financed due to resources of the state budget of Karakalpakstan, regions, Republican Road Fund.
