Production of Clothing in Uzbekistan Increased by 18.5% in the First Nine Months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Committee of Statistics, in January–September 2025, the volume of clothing production in Uzbekistan reached 30.2 trillion soums, an increase of 18.5% compared to the same period of last year.
The Andijan region made the largest contribution to the sector’s growth, with production reaching 12.9 trillion soums. It was followed by the Tashkent and Namangan regions, each producing 3.1 trillion soums worth of clothing.
In the capital city, Tashkent, clothing output totaled 2.1 trillion soums over the nine-month period, while the Fergana region reported production of 1.8 trillion soums.
Navoi region increased its production to 1.6 trillion soums, Kashkadarya to 1.3 trillion soums, Bukhara to 1.2 trillion soums, and Samarkand region to 1 trillion soums.
The least active regions in the industry were Surkhandarya with 479.3 billion soums, Jizzakh with 451.3 billion soums, the Republic of Karakalpakstan with 424.5 billion soums, Khorezm with 332.4 billion soums, and Syrdarya with 320.8 billion soums.
