Processing enterprises receive preferences

The President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On measures on improving system of procurement and use of fruits, vegetables, potatoes and melons” on 12 April 2016.

Private companies, processing fruits, vegetables, potatoes, melons and grape, are freed from payment of customs payments at import of modern equipment and technologies from 1 January 2019, except customs registration fee, the resolution said.

Processing enterprises, which are part of Uzbekoziqovqatholding, are exempted from payment of income tax, property tax for legal entities, single tax payments for small enterprises and microfirms, mandatory payments to funds, except the Single Social Payment.

The document said that the freed resources in the result of provided tax and customs preferences should be directed to technical re-equipment and modernization of production.

In case of untargeted use of freed resources, they will be levied to the budget and corresponding state funds.
