Procedure for matching precursor needs with the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction abolished

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Creating a favorable business environment for the development of small business and private entrepreneurship, filling the domestic market with competitive products, creating new jobs, is one of the priority areas of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

In accordance with current government resolutions, enterprises that do not have a higher organization must coordinate with the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction the need to use precursors (technical sulfur, hydrochloric acid, etc.)

Precursors are widely used in many sectors of the economy and cover the production process of more than 350 economic entities.

It should be noted that to coordinate precursor needs, each year, representatives of economic entities from all regions of the republic had to visit the ministry, which led to difficulties and additional obstacles to their activities.

In order to reduce the state’s participation in the economy, protect private property rights and further strengthen its priority role, continue institutional and structural reforms aimed at stimulating the development of small business and private entrepreneurship, as determined by Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-4947 “On Strategy” action on the further development of the Republic of Uzbekistan ”from 7 February 2017, a proposal was sent to the Ministry of Health to cancel the approval process with the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the need for precursors for the application of production by amending existing government decisions.
