Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government resolution approved the Regulation on the procedure for organizing the issuance of recommendations to women for participation in the competition and their admission to higher education institutions as part of admission indicators based on additional state grants.

In accordance with the Regulation, such recommendations are issued on the basis of one of the following criteria:

women from low-income families;

women who are raised in an incomplete family, that is, their father or mother has passed away;

daughters of single women (men) raising two or more children under the age of 14, living separately from other relatives;

families without private housing living in a rented apartment;

one or both parents are unemployed and are registered at job placement centers as job seekers;

women from families with disabled children;

girls in families living in areas where the level of female higher education is two or more times lower than the average for the Republic, as well as living in remote and inaccessible areas (provided that they work in their region for 3 years).

The resolution approved the procedure for obtaining recommendations.

According to this, a working group is set up annually in February to issue recommendations to women.

District (city) mahalla and family support departments annually by 10 May send documents of women who applied for recommendations to the Ministry of mahalla and family support of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the mahalla and family support department of the regions and the city of Tashkent.

A list of women selected by the working group and recommended to participate in the competition on the basis of additional admission parameters is submitted to the State Testing Center every year until 15 June and published on the official website of the Ministry for the Support of Mahallas and Family.

The recommendation is given to women who wish to graduate for a period of not more than 3 years

The recommendation grants the right to participate in the competition in the first area of education, selected during registration as an applicant under the allocated additional four percent state grant, and does not apply to participation in the competition for second and subsequent higher education.
