Procedure Established for Formation of National Paralympic Sports Teams

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved regulations governing the formation of national sports teams for Paralympic disciplines.

The document outlines the procedure for identifying, selecting, and evaluating talented athletes for inclusion in the national teams.

The primary goal of forming the teams and their reserves is to ensure high performance at national and international competitions, implement advanced training methods, improve athletes’ physical, technical, tactical, and psychological preparation, and enhance their overall mastery. Additionally, the regulations aim to promote physical culture, sports, and a healthy lifestyle.

Teams may only be formed in sports included in the Registry of Paralympic Disciplines, approved by the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Team rosters are approved by the relevant official order for a period of one calendar year, effective from 1 January to 31 December.
