Private security companies to be liquidated in Uzbekistan

The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on ordering security activities in Uzbekistan” on 24 January, which introduced ban for providing security services by the non-governmental organizations and individuals.

According to the document, state bodies and administration, companies can use services of Republican union Ohrana (Guard) under Ministry of Interior Affairs to ensure security of their objects.

Gazeta.uz reported that legal entities and individuals, who used services of private security companies, were recommended to sign agreement with Ohrana.
