Priority directions of digitalization of public administration and economy discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– On 15 May 2020, a republican scientific and practical conference on the topic “Priority Directions for Digitalization of Public Administration and Economics” was held online.

It was attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, relevant ministries and departments.

During the online videoconference, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget and Economic Reforms Erkin Gadoev made a presentation on digitalizing the process of budget preparation and execution of budget system organizations.

“It was determined that in 2020-2021, more than 7 thousand healthcare organizations, pre-school education and secondary schools connected to high-speed Internet will increase and reach 12 thousand, and the program“ Digital Uzbekistan - 2030 ”will also be adopted,” said Senator E. Gadoev . - And this will create conditions for digitalization of budget processes, targeted and targeted use of expenses, control over the formation and execution of budgets of all levels, and most importantly, for the operational management of budget processes. As a result of this, transparency in this direction will be ensured, the level of corruption will decrease, and bureaucratic barriers in the distribution of budget funds will be eliminated.

In addition, during the video conference, topical issues of digitalization of public administration and the economy, ensuring information security during the implementation of the Digital Uzbekistan - 2030 program, the use of information technology and transformation in the banking system, and the public finance management system for digitalizing the economy were discussed.
