Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and Belarus Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin met with Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov in an informal setting to discuss key issues of bilateral cooperation.
The meeting took place as part of the official visit of the Belarusian delegation to Uzbekistan. During the talks, both sides highlighted Uzbekistan’s role as a reliable and long-standing partner for Belarus.
They noted active interaction between their governments and parliaments, the development of interregional cooperation, and steady growth in mutual trade, which is approaching US$1 billion.
Currently, 229 organizations with Belarusian participation are registered in Uzbekistan. The discussions emphasized that the goal of cooperation is not only to consolidate existing achievements but also to expand the partnership, giving it practical substance through concrete agreements.
