Prices for gas in Uzbekistan to hike by 7%

Prices for natural gas for population and enterprises will increase in Uzbekistan from 15 July 2017. The growth rate makes up 7%.
New tariff gas prices were approved by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan, according to Uzbekneftegaz.
The company said that the population will pay 263.4soums per 1 cubic meter of gas if they have gas meter. The current cost of 1 cubic meter of gas is 246.12 soums. The growth rate made up 7%.
At the same time, the cost of 1 cubic meter of gas, if there is no gas meter, will grow from 422.9 soums to 455.9 soums (+7.8%) for cooking and hot water, and from 193.37 soums to 211.245 soums for heating (7%).
Uzbekistan increased prices for gas and electricity last time in October 2016.
