Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A preventive campaign “Home without violence!” started in Uzbekistan.

Specialists from the ministries of internal affairs, labor and social protection, education, healthcare, and various public associations are involved in the action.

This year, emphasis has been placed on maximally informing citizens through the media and the Internet about legal norms in force in this area, assistance provided to victims of violence, including the provision of temporary shelter services, and the functioning of hotline phones.

According to Oleg Karazey, head of the prevention department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prevention of domestic violence is not limited to the action. The Ministry of Internal Affairs deals with this problem constantly. This is one of the main activities of the service of district inspectors and precinct juvenile affairs.

This year, employees of the internal affairs bodies applied about two thousand protective orders, 1.7 thousand people were sent to medical and labor dispensaries. In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is constantly working to improve legislation in the field of combating and preventing family violence.

A number of innovations are currently being worked out for inclusion in the draft Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Amending Laws on Crime Prevention”.
