Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discuss bilateral cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 October, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the Russian leader on his birthday, wishing him good health, prosperity, success, and continued well-being for the friendly people of Russia.
During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of further developing the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level.
Particular attention was paid to maintaining the positive dynamics of mutual trade, promoting joint projects in industry, energy, agriculture, and other priority sectors, as well as expanding business cooperation between the regions of the two countries.
The leaders expressed satisfaction with the active development of cultural and humanitarian exchanges, which strengthen the ties between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Russia.
They also exchanged views on pressing issues of the international and regional agenda and agreed on the schedule of upcoming high-level contacts and events.
