Presidents of Uzbekistan and Latvia hold talks

Later the official photography session for President Bērziņš and President Karimov and signing of the guest book took place.

Afterwards, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and President of Latvia Andris Bērziņš held a one-to-one meeting and negotiations with the participation of the delegations.

During meetings and negotiations, the sides discussed issues of developing multifaceted Uzbek-Latvian relations, as well as regional and international issues.

In the result of the talks, Uzbekistan and Latvia signed a joint declaration of the heads of state, along with a range of agreements designed to bolster the bilateral cooperation in political, commercial, investment, transport and communications spheres and environmental protection.
