Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to Meet in Bukhara

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in the city of Bukhara. On 11 April, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, will pay a working visit to Uzbekistan.

During the stay in Bukhara, high-level negotiations are planned to review the further development of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance. Special attention will be paid to strengthening political dialogue, as well as developing inter-parliamentary, inter-governmental, and inter-regional ties.

The parties will discuss expanding economic cooperation, increasing trade turnover, deepening industrial cooperation, and implementing joint projects in the fields of transport, energy, and water-environmental interaction. Separate attention will be given to cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The leaders are also expected to exchange views on issues of the international and regional agenda.

As part of the visit, a joint tour of historical monuments is planned, along with a visit to industrial enterprises and a product exhibition. Additionally, the President of Uzbekistan will review the socio-economic development of the Bukhara region and upcoming prospective projects in the area.
