Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral cooperation. It was emphasized that this year the relations between the countries have significantly expanded in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The trade turnover has increased noticeably, joint trading houses and modern production facilities have been established, the interregional cooperation is actively developing.

Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan expressed their principled support for the efforts of the Central Asian countries on development of cooperation on the basis of mutual trust, respect and consideration of each other’s interests.

Uzbek and Kazakh Presidents exchanged views on certain issues of the international agenda and on bilateral and multilateral events to be held in 2018.
