Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan exchange congratulatory messages

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 October, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev exchanged congratulatory messages on the significant date in the history of bilateral relations - the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Eternal Friendship between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic Kazakhstan.

In his message, Uzbek President, sincerely congratulating the brotherly people of Kazakhstan, noted that this landmark document secured the inviolability of the centuries-old bonds of friendship, fraternity and good neighborliness between the two countries and peoples that bind common history, spiritual and cultural heritage.

It was stressed that the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement and the Joint Declaration on the further deepening of the strategic partnership and strengthening of good-neighborliness was a new milestone in the consistent development of cooperation.

A vivid example of the rapprochement of the peoples of our countries is the cultural, humanitarian and business events held this year within the framework of the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, the message reads.

It was noted with satisfaction that our countries are committed to strengthening an atmosphere of trust, openness and mutual support, ensuring peace, stability and sustainable development in Central Asia.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in his message expressed cordial congratulations and warm wishes on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Treaty of Eternal Friendship.

It was especially noted that the Treaty defined the modern vector and made a significant contribution to the development of bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation at the international level, became the foundation of this strategic partnership of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, based on mutual trust and friendship.

It was stressed that today, both countries, relying on enduring values and inexhaustible potential, have brought bilateral cooperation to a new level and continue to form a solid foundation aimed at consolidating full-format cooperation in the region.

The conviction was expressed that our joint activities and friendship, giving a special impetus to cooperation between our countries, will receive their further consistent development for the benefit of our peoples.
