Presidents of Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan Present the “Kelajak Merosi” Award

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During their visit to the Center of Islamic Civilization, the presidents of the Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan participated in the ceremonial presentation of the international “Kelajak Merosi” award.

Established by a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this award is aimed at supporting and encouraging national and foreign representatives of the creative intelligentsia who have achieved significant success in literature, culture, the arts, science, education, and digital technologies.

The winners of the first competition included outstanding figures from Central Asia and Azerbaijan. In the “Literature” category, the award was presented to Sultan Raev, General Secretary of TURKSOY and People’s Writer of Kyrgyzstan; in the “Culture” category, to Davlat Safarzoda, People’s Poet of Tajikistan; in the “Theater and Cinema” category, to Yerkebulan Dairov, actor at the M. Auezov National Drama Theater of Kazakhstan; in the “Music and Dance” category, to Alim Gasimov, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan; in the “Visual and Applied Arts” category, to Babasary Annamiradov, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan; and in the “Science, Education, and Digital Technologies” category, to Dilafruz Egamberdiyeva, Deputy Director of the International Center under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.

In the presence of the heads of state, the laureates were presented with statuettes of the award, diplomas, and a cash prize of 10,000 US dollars.
