Presidential resolution “On measures to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices” adopted

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings and indices”.

In accordance with the resolution, the National System of Monitoring and Evaluation of the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings will be created.

An integral part of the National Monitoring System is the measurement of the quality of management and the effectiveness of policies, the assessment of the transformation processes taking place in the country.

As an initial stage of the formation of the activities of the National Monitoring System for Research Institutes, international ratings have been assigned.

They are entrusted with the task of defining methodological and other components of international ratings, their implementation into current legislation, identifying the main factors determining the low indicators of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings.

In order to improve the quality of public services, the institution of “secret buyer of public services” will be introduced.

By April 1, 2019, a single portal “The Republic of Uzbekistan in international ratings” will be created.

This portal will publish annual reports on international ratings, as well as recommendations from international organizations and experts to improve the state of affairs in relevant areas, indicating the dates for conducting studies and publishing reports.

By April 1, 2019, a rating methodology will be approved, based on the positive experience of foreign countries, taking into account the national interests of Uzbekistan.

“Road maps” will be developed to improve the position of Uzbekistan in international rankings, including taking into account the information and the results of studies of research institutes.
