President Visits “Renaissance” Children’s Educational Camp in Bostanlyk District

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15 September, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Bostanlyk District of Tashkent Region to review the conditions at the “Renaissance” children’s educational and recreational camp.

It is noted that education and youth policy in Uzbekistan have been elevated to the level of state priorities. In recent years, the country has opened 14 Presidential Schools, 201 specialized schools, 2 sports schools, and 9 creative schools, and their teaching and assessment systems have been implemented in an additional 1,500 schools.

Special attention is given to preparing talented students for international standards. Last year, a Subject Olympiad Center was established, and this year an international school was opened. At the initiative of the head of state, a national program was approved to prepare youth for admission to Ivy League universities in the United States. In 2025, 1,500 students were selected, guided by 208 mentors from Presidential and specialized schools.

The “Renaissance” camp is part of this system. Students participate in intensive three-week courses, and the top 40 participants will be sent to Ivy League universities for experience exchange. The camp accommodates 500 students and features modern academic buildings, residential blocks, a hotel, a cafeteria, and sports facilities.

Participants in the summer programs include Olympiad winners, holders of international language certificates, and children from socially vulnerable families. The President inspected the campus facilities, students’ projects, laboratories, STEAM classrooms, and creative workshops.

During the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also met with the leadership and graduates of the “New Uzbekistan” University, emphasizing: “The potential, energy, and ambition of our youth are immense. If we provide quality education, our children will become leaders in every field.”

Additionally, the project for the Al-Khorezmi University campus, aimed at fostering youth knowledge and talent, was presented.

The President instructed that the project’s implementation be carried out with the highest quality standards.
