Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President signed the Law “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the List of Categories of Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan Subject to Permanent Registration in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent Region”.

According to the changes:

- instead of the concept of “permanent residence” the concept of “registration at the place of permanent residence” is introduced;

- citizens will be able to get on permanent registration not only at the address of residence of relatives of the first and second degrees, but also on the living space at a different address, the owners of which they are;

- persons brought up for raising a family (patronage) will be registered at the place of permanent residence of their adoptive parents;

- rules for the joint residence of spouses within 1 year after marriage and the loss of registration at the place of permanent residence in case of divorce within 1 year are excluded;

- Specialists (with the exception of technical, service and production personnel) who have been working continuously for 5 years in state bodies and organizations located in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region, as well as their family members, will be registered at the place of permanent residence in these regions .

The law comes into force on the day of its official publication.
