President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Departs for Namangan Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 September, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for a working visit to Namangan Region.
Today, the region stands as one of the country’s fastest-growing centers of entrepreneurship and industry. Over the past eight years, about US$7 billion in foreign investment has been attracted, and around 8,000 new enterprises have been launched. Special attention is being given to the development of agriculture, tourism, and the services sector, creating new jobs for the local population.
During the visit, the Head of State will review model projects and set new priorities for the region’s further socio-economic development. The program includes visits to construction sites, industrial and energy enterprises, agricultural complexes, water management facilities, and social institutions.
In addition, a meeting on comprehensive regional development is planned. The President will also take part in the 3rd International Forum “From Poverty to Prosperity”, which will discuss ways to improve living standards and ensure sustainable regional development.
