President Receives UAE Delegation to Discuss Strategic Partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 November, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates led by Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi.
At the start of the meeting, the head of the delegation conveyed to President Mirziyoyev sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as from the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The parties discussed further strengthening ties of friendship and strategic partnership, as well as the practical implementation of agreements reached during the January high-level visit to the UAE.
It was noted that in recent years, with the support of the UAE government, more than 300 initiatives have been implemented across over 40 areas, including the “Government Accelerator,” “One Million Programmers,” and “Young Leaders” programs.
The importance of successfully launching a new five-year cooperation program aimed at improving public administration efficiency was emphasized.
Special attention was given to plans for adopting advanced Emirati practices in reducing bureaucracy, training five million prompt engineers in the field of artificial intelligence, and promoting initiatives such as the “Young Generation” program and the “Book Challenge.”
The sides also agreed on thorough preparation for upcoming high-level events. Following the meeting, President Mirziyoyev and Minister Al Gergawi viewed an exhibition dedicated to the history of Uzbek-UAE relations.
