Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the cultural program of the informal meeting in St. Petersburg, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with the leaders of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, visited the State Hermitage Museum.

The heads of the delegations familiarized themselves with the exhibitions of one of the world’s largest museums, which houses a unique collection of works of art and monuments of global cultural heritage.

During the tour, they visited the halls of the Main Museum Complex, which reflect key stages in the history and artistic heritage of Russia and Europe.

Particular attention was given to the Alexander Hall, the exhibition of artistic silver, as well as the Pickett Hall and the Armorial Hall, which are traditionally used for ceremonial events and official functions.

The leaders were also impressed by the Gold Rooms, featuring unique items made of precious metals, and the Pavilion Hall of the Small Hermitage with the legendary mechanical Peacock Clock.

During the visit, the importance of strengthening cultural dialogue, preserving historical heritage, and developing humanitarian cooperation among the countries of the Commonwealth was underscored.
