Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of his visit to Kuwait, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured the “As-Salam Palace” Museum in Kuwait City.

Built between 1960 and 1964 in a distinctive Arab architectural style, the palace served as the official residence for visiting foreign leaders until 1990.

In 2019, the building was transformed into a museum covering an area of 32,000 square meters, showcasing unique artifacts that reflect Kuwait’s centuries-old history and culture.

The President of Uzbekistan explored the museum’s exhibition, praising its architectural design and modern infrastructure.

The visit underscored the importance of strengthening cultural exchanges between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, particularly in the fields of museology, historical heritage preservation, joint humanitarian initiatives, and organizing mutual exhibitions.

At the conclusion of his visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev left a note in the museum’s Guest of Honor Book.
