Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 10 January, on the eve of the Day of Defenders of the Homeland, visited the Academy of the Armed Forces.

In January 2017, the head of state ordered the organization of a completely new educational institution on the basis of the Tashkent Higher Combined Arms Command School. Soon, an appropriate decree of the President was adopted, and the school was transformed into the Academy of the Armed Forces, which incorporated the most advanced technologies and modern teaching aids. In January 2018, the Supreme Commander familiarized himself with the activities of the new academy.

Today, the conditions and content of the educational process at the academy have changed dramatically. The classrooms are equipped with modern computer technology, educational and laboratory equipment. There is a situational center, simulators are used.

Last year, work on the modernization of the academy was continued, new facilities were erected. Additional opportunities have been created for the training and combat training of cadets and their sports.

At the Academy, the Scientific and Methodological Council was formed, coordinating the educational and scientific processes in all higher and secondary special military educational institutions of the country.

The head of state got acquainted with the results of work to improve the educational institution and the commissioned new modern educational infrastructure facilities.

The possibilities of a complex of dynamic computer simulators of the main samples of military equipment, information on rationalization and innovative developments of the Academy’s cadets are presented.

- In military education, as in all other areas, we must always keep up to date and even be one step ahead. Our cadets and students should acquire the most advanced knowledge and skills based on innovation, be aware of the news in the field, constantly work on themselves, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The President congratulated the cadets on a significant event in the life of our country - the 28th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Day of Defenders of the Homeland. Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the conditions in educational and residential premises, as well as modern sports facilities.
