President of Uzbekistan to Participate in UN 80th Anniversary Events in New York

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, will take part in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations in New York, according to a source cited by Daryo.

The 80th session of the UN General Assembly is held under the theme “Acting Together: 80 Years of Cooperation for Peace, Development, Human Rights, and Progress,” emphasizing multilateralism, solidarity, and the necessity of joint action for the benefit of people and the planet. This year, particular focus is placed on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening global cooperation.

High-level meetings commemorating the UN’s 80th anniversary are scheduled for September 22 in the General Assembly Hall, while President Mirziyoyev’s address at the anniversary events is planned for September 23.
