Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is on an official visit to the Republic of Turkey at the invitation of Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan. As previously reported, during the stay, the head of our state will take part in the opening ceremony of the Presidential Library of Turkey.
This magnificent “temple of knowledge” with a total area of 120 thousand square meters was erected on the territory of the complex of the President of Turkey. It consists of several rooms.
The main reading room, the Cihannüma Globe, got its name due to the fact that it contains books in 134 languages from more than 100 countries. A large symbolic globe is located in the center, and the hall itself is a room under a dome supported by 16 columns, which represent 16 states of Turkic peoples that have left their mark on the history of mankind. Among the books presented here, there are also brought from Uzbekistan.
The library’s children’s hall is named after the epic hero Khoja Nasreddin. Here are books for users aged 5-10 years, all the conditions for exciting activities, acquaintance with book and reading culture through games. Special staff will conduct games with children.
There is also a Youth Hall with an audio and video library for users aged 10-15. This part of the library is intended mainly for schoolchildren and applicants. There are all amenities for preparing for exams, homework and other training programs.
Hall Divan Salonu is designed for social events. Seminars and small ceremonies will be held here.
In addition, it is planned that valuable ancient manuscripts stored in the library will be periodically exhibited at a special exhibition organized within these walls. The first exhibition is dedicated to the opening of the library. It will feature over 70 original works from among the most important manuscripts stored in Turkey. In terms of content and form, this will be the first exhibition of its kind in Ankara.
The central place in the "Holy Books" section is assigned to the Qur’an, which is the crown of Islamic values and written tradition. Various copies of this holy book, published in different periods and on different continents, will be exhibited here.
The section “Science and Religion” will demonstrate the geographical treatise of Abu Rayhan Beruni, Al-Kanan Fit-Tibb Ibn Sina, the works of Ali Kushchi and many others.
In the section devoted to aesthetics and fine arts, books will be presented reflecting the beauty of Islamic art, in particular books, miniatures decorated with precious stones, elegant patterns from different materials.
In addition, library visitors receive the opportunity to see documents written by the rulers and statesmen of Turkey with their own hands.
It is assumed that documents written by the hand of Sultan Mahmoud II (1808-1839), other rulers of the Ottoman Empire and modern statesmen will be presented at this exhibition.
Like the library itself, both the exhibitions organized in it will please fans of culture and art, people who are interested in the history of Turkey and Islamic civilization. Indeed, truly books are a source that nourishes spirituality.
