President of Uzbekistan Signs Law on the State Defense Order
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed the law “On the State Defense Order.”
The law regulates relations in the sphere of the state defense order, which is understood as the state’s procurement of military products and dual-use goods, approved by the State Commission for Armaments of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The law outlines the key objectives of the state defense order: the formation, approval, and execution of orders in accordance with the national interests of the country, the military-political situation in the world and the region, the level of threats to national security, and the characteristics of modern military conflicts; the timely and guaranteed provision of military products and dual-use goods to state customers; as well as the targeted and efficient use of financial resources allocated for the state defense order.
Drafts of the state defense order are reviewed by the State Commission and approved by its decision.
Once approved, the order is taken into account in the preparation of the draft law on the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the following fiscal year.
