President of Uzbekistan Signs Law on the Circulation of Fireworks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed the law “On the Circulation of Fireworks.”

The law defines fireworks as devices designed to produce optical, acoustic, electrical, or other visual effects through combustion or explosion. Fireworks are classified by hazard level from Class I to Class V, taking into account risk zones and potential environmental damage.

Under the law, Class I fireworks may be manufactured, prepared, imported, transported, stored, and used by both individuals and legal entities. The use of Class II–V fireworks within the country is prohibited: their production, preparation, import, transportation, dispatch, and storage are forbidden.

Control over compliance with the rules for handling fireworks is assigned to the National Guard, internal affairs authorities, and customs agencies.

The law will take effect three months after its official publication.
