President of Uzbekistan signs a law on pasture use

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Law “On Pastures”. In accordance with the Law, pastures are lands with natural vegetation cover that is food for livestock.

Mountain pastures are seasonal and are used only at certain times of the year.

Pasture users are entitled to form pasture user associations for sharing and protection of pastures.

Pastures may be granted for permanent possession, rent and temporary use by decision of the khokims.

On the lands of the forest fund pastures are used by permission of the state forestry bodies.

Pasture use fees are charged as land tax or rent.

The right to use pastures is terminated in the following cases:

- liquidation of a legal entity;

- death of a physical person;

- expiration of the term for which pastures were provided;

-use not for the intended purpose;

non-rational use;

- removal of pasture land for state and public needs;

- voluntary refusal to use pastures.
